BHAGWA MANGO SMOOTHIE

The vibrant orange in this smoothie reminds me of Bhagwa the saffron orange color in the flag of India that denotes renunciation or disinterestedness. Where they believe their leaders must be indifferent to material gains and dedicate themselves to their work. Which can be a powerful idea if you think about it. It reminds me of how we spend too much time on material gains, other peoples business and everything else around us that we lose touch of who we are, what we need and putting ourselves first by focusing on our health, happiness, passions, our work, our craft. Hence the name of this smoothie.

With a high speed blender this smoothie becomes super silky. All the flavors really compliment each other and help bring out their individual flavors. The recipe makes two pint glass servings, each about 200 calories. A great light breakfast to go with your favorite protein snack of nuts ‘n seeds, or maybe my awesome on-the-go breakfast Quiche Cupcakes. Either way your tummy and taste buds will be happy.
