Winter time always calls for heavy, cozy kinds of foods. Which I’m all for, especially soups or any other kind of one pot meal. But what about snacks? Or something nice to add to the table for entertaining. Cheese balls were so huge, I’m not sure if they still are but does it matter? If you love cheese, you’ll keep sporting the cheese balls, or whatever shape you want. I’m big into sweet and savory so for this recipe I wanted to throw in some dried cranberries into the mix. Plus, it looks great too.
You can use any dried fruit in place of the dried cranberries such as dried cherries, currants, or apricot. Or, you can split the mixture in half and use two different kinds of dried fruit. There are no strict rules to this so long as it tastes good! Just one piece of advice, don’t skip out on the worcestershire sauce; this is what really makes this all marry together. Trust me. Oh, and just because I call this a “cheese log” doesn’t mean it can’t be shaped into whatever you want. Go on with your sculpting skills, but I wanna see so share it!
